Where do we go from here?
It’s January 11, 2021 and this country, the United States of America, is in chaos. We are definitely not united. We’re essentially two sides pitted against each other. How did we get to this point? Well – frankly – both sides can tell you how we got here. Everyone has strong opinions on that but let me be clear…the real reason we’ve descended into this pit is because Christians weren’t guarding the gate.
We stuck our heads in the sand and ignored what was happening around us – the country falling into moral depravity. We didn’t fight when we should have. Now, we’re left to wonder if God is going to defend our cause.
Should He? Yes, it would be nice. But – again I ask – should He? What have we done to defend His cause? We are quick to wonder “Where’s God in all this?” But maybe He’s been asking the same about you and me.
Is it so impossible to believe He might make us lay in the bed we’ve made? At least for a while.
Of course, I hope not. I hope for some massive divine intervention. I hope and pray that His glory will be revealed for all to see and that there will definitely be a reckoning for the evil that exists.
But while we wait for God (who’s never late) what shall we do? We start by doing the following:
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. (Ephesians 6:11-13)
Make no mistake – these aren’t just “feel good” words. They are a directive!!
Christians needs to wake up from their slumber, repent, pray, unite together as one force, and stand up for God’s truth. God is on our side. Let’s be on His!
